Crown Point Park in Pacific Beach

Crown Point Park is a large, grassy park on the east side of Crown Point on Mission Bay. The park includes fire pit rings, picnic tables and barbecue grills as well as a boat launch. It is used for events such as beach volleyball tournaments and is also a favorite among families who love to swim or splash around in the water.

Its wide open spaces make it ideal for jogging, biking and strolling, as well as hanging out on the beach or in the many parks surrounding it. Its smooth blacktop trails are popular with both locals and visitors, as is its proximity to the beach.

The beach itself at Crown Point is a great place for families to have fun, especially during summertime when the sand is soft and warm. Its shallow water is perfect for little kids to play and build sandcastles.

If you are looking for a place to watch the sun go down, this is your best bet! You can catch the sunset over the bay as the sky turns a rich orange hue in the distance. If you want a nightlife experience, there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from.

Another fun thing to do at Crown Point is to take a walk on the park trails that lead down into the ocean and along the beach. This is a great way to see the area from a different perspective and to get a good workout in as you go.

You can also enjoy a swim in the cool waters of Mission Bay, which is just a short drive from the park. You can take a kayak or paddle board to explore the water and see the wildlife.

The park is a popular spot for picnics and barbeques as well as for bird watching. It’s home to the light-footed clapper rail and Belding’s savannah sparrow, two birds on the endangered species list.

Dogs are allowed in the park and on the beach, but they need to be kept on leash at all times.

If you’re looking for a pet-friendly park, you can check out the Crown Point dog park! It has two separate off-leash areas and a large parking lot, making it an easy spot to bring your furry friend.

It’s a nice place to spend time with friends and family, especially during summertime when the weather is sunny and hot! The area is well-lit and has several public restrooms for you to use.

There are many other places to visit in the area, including Sea World, Mission Bay Golf Course and Fiesta Island. You can even grab a quick bite to eat at one of the many restaurants in Pacific Beach or Downtown San Diego.

The town of Pacific Beach has proposed to create an off-leash dog area in the Crown Point Park, which is a great idea! Please sign the petition below to help this proposal get the attention it needs!
